The sweet life at Barra da Tijuca :)

Oi gente! Tudo beleza?

I am super happy today. As I spent the past two days enjoying the sweet life in Rio with my love I feel really energized and lucky. :) We took a bus out to Barra da Tijuca, the neighborhood that contains 18 km of Rio's finest beach. Barra is located in the west of the city of Rio de Janeiro and one of the more expensive neighborhoods. Lots of celebrities and soccer players live here. We sure had a fun time. The sun wasn't too hot, just about 25 degrees, and as it was a Tuesday in autumn there were nearly no other people at the beach. A few surfers here and there enjoying the waves and a few runners jogging along the promenade.

Here are some photos of the beach for you. Enjoy! :)

Yeah, life can be so good. The same day we decided to spend the night in a hostel in Rio's biggest favela, Rocinha. That was quite an adventure and really intimidating at first, but turned out to the an amazing once-in-a-lifetime experience and I am glad to have shared it with my love. But read more about Rocinha in my next post. Stay tuned! :)

Um beijo!

Dani
